The sound, or fountain music, that the water makes is one of the most attractive parts of an outdoor fountain. With a traditional, house current, style fountain pump you get one level of output. Maybe you can restrict the water flow at the pump to reduce the volume of water, but even if you can it's stuck there because the pump is submerged & underneath part of your fountain. NCSW fountain controllers have a water volume setting knob so you can tune your fountain to run at whatever level you want. All our fountain controllers have a “Solar Max”™ mode where you set the minimum volume of water you want then the controller will run the pump(s) at maximum if there is enough sunlight energy coming in to support it.
